Pierre Durette
Pierre Durette received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Université du Québec à Montréal in 2006. As a student, his print media work earned him the Grand Prix Albert Dumouchel in 2004 and he was the winner of the Projet Insertion contest at Atelier Graff in 2005.
The artist’s works have been included in many exhibitions in Quebec and Ontario, most notably at the Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal and at The Power Plant in Toronto. Recipient of the Marcel Bellerive grant for excellence, Pierre Durette received a project grant from the Conseil des Arts et Lettres du Québec in 2009. Originally from Causapscal in the Gaspé region, the artist now lives and works in Montreal.
