André Velter
Born in 1945, André Velter is a French poet, essayist and radio host. A frequent traveller, Velter writes poems and essays that depict his trips to Asia, particularly Tibet. Interested in encounters and exchanges, he has worked with many visual artists. His poems have won various awards, including the Prix Mallarmé for L'Arbre-Seul and the Goncourt de la poésie for his entire work.
