The Trois-Rivières International Biennial of Contemporary Prints (BIECTR), an international exhibition-competition which takes place every two years, is a partner of the Atelier-Galerie A.Piroir in Montreal for a satellite event which is held during the years dividers of the Biennale. The event has two parts.

The first part consists of an exhibition, offered every two years to a current print artist who has been exhibited at BIECTR. The exhibition will be presented at the Atelier-Galerie A.Piroir. As a second part of the event, the artist will present a conference or a master class during the duration of their stay.

BIECTR is today a major international event that allows the Quebec public to discover the richness and diversity of contemporary printmaking practices around the world. Through its association with BIECTR, the Atelier-Galerie Alain Piroir wishes to affirm its commitment to these artists and participate in the vitality of this environment.

12th BIECTR Prize

Céline Huyghebaert

We have the honor to announce that this year’s winner is Ms. Céline Huyghebaert. Selected among all the artists of the 12th edition of BIECTR, Ms. Huyghebaert is invited to present an individual exhibition at the Atelier-Galerie A.Piroir. Lasting 6 to 8 weeks, this exhibition will allow the Montreal public to discover a more complete body of work by the artist while increasing the influence of BIECTR.

The Atelier-Galerie A. Piroir was very impressed by his approach to the artist's book and was joined by the aesthetics of the works, Ms. Huyghebaert. The Atelier-Galerie A.Piroir, always looking for renewal in the art of printmaking, is very pleased to offer this exhibition to Ms. Céline Huyghebaert, to contribute to the influence of printmaking and the book of current artist.
