10th BIECTR Prize

Janne Laine

We are honoured to announce that this year’s winner is Mr. Janne Laine. Selected among all the artists of the 10th edition of BIECTR, Mr. Laine is invited to present an individual exhibition at the Atelier-Galerie A.Piroir. Lasting 6 to 8 weeks, this exhibition will allow the Montreal public to discover a more complete body of work by the artist while increasing the influence of BIECTR.

The Atelier-Galerie A.Piroir was very impressed by the use of the rotogravure technique, which is very little used, and was joined by the aesthetics of Mr. Laine's works. The Atelier-Galerie A.Piroir, always looking for renewal in the art of printmaking, is very happy to offer this residency/exhibition to Mr. Janne Laine, to help him in the development of his creation and to contribute to the influence of current printmaking art.
