MADELEINE GAGNON
Born in 1938, Madeleine Gagnon is a Quebec writer of poems, novels and essays. A graduate of the Université de Montréal and the Université d’Aix-en-Provence, she taught for many years at UQAM before devoting herself exclusively to writing. A member of the Académie des lettres du Québec, she received numerous awards, including the Governor General’s Award and the Prix Athanase-David.
