Monique Dussault
Monique Dussault (born in 1929 in Quebec City) is a Quebec printmaker recognized for her mastery of copper etching and relief engraving, particularly on wood. She is a member of the Regroupement des artistes en arts visuels du Québec.
Since 1979, she has directed Éditions du Pôle, a publishing house dedicated to artists’ books and poster-poems, working in collaboration with numerous poets she has met throughout her career. Her work is distinguished by an expressive sensibility in which engraving enters into dialogue with text and visual poetry.
She has taken part in several significant events, such as Image et souffle and an exhibition centered around the sugar shack in Vaudreuil, which reflect her engaged and experiential approach. Her works are included in several public and private collections in Quebec, securing her place in the contemporary printmaking landscape.
